We celebrate Scout Sunday in February. We are thankful for the adults, both professional and volunteer, who lead the scouts.
On Mothers Day and Fathers Day, we remember that we not only have earthly parents, but a Heavenly One, too.
Fall is a time of harvest, and also the time to chart our church's future.
During Advent, we decorate the church in anticipation of celebrating Jesus' birth.
Christmas is also an appropriate time to receive new members.
With great joy we come together to share truly happy times,
and with heavy hearts we say good-bye (for a while) to our treasured old friends,
and comfort one another during our time of loss.
Other friends move on to new homes.
Although the act of foot washing isn't a part of our culture, the concept of service to others most certainly is.
The Good News is that no matter how long and often we reflect on the Passion of Christ, who died in our place,
we always, but always know that new life can be found with Jesus! Every day is Easter!
